        Hi, DBAs,

Can anybody give me a guess, how to find out next log SEQUENCE#, required for recovery, without issuing RECOVER command? I believe, this is not possible to find it out of Oracle dictionary, can anybody confirm this or, otherwise, name appropriate fixed table? I'm particularly concerned with standby database recovery, I want to know in advance SEQUENCE#, required to roll forward, and don't want to rely on alertXXX.log tail.

Another question, in "normal" database I can find correspondence between CHANGE# and log SEQUENCE# from v$archived_log or v$log. Where to look this correspondence in standby database.

        Thanks for Your Help
