Australia: http://itjobs.mycareer.com.au/ will give you an idea.

Remember - you need a Visa. Agnecies/Brokers are not that interested unless you already have the right to work in Australia. I cannot say how difficult it might be to get a visa - I am Australian so do not need to worry about it <G>.

Also, the Aus$ is approx 50% of the US$. While costs may be low, you will not bring much away when you return.

Singapore and Hong Kong have a demand for Oracle resources; check http://www.jobserve.com/ for Singapore OR Hongkong OR Australia [for example].

Oracle also post job requirements, sometimes these are in Asia.

Generally - a person with very good Oracle DBA skills will get a job just about anywhere...

HTH, Cheers,

John

What's the job market like for Oracle DBAs in Australia (Queensland and NSW)? Is demand being satisfied mostly with local talent? I've heard that's the case for much of the IT market there.

Would it be difficult for an American Oracle DBA to secure a work visa in Australia or Asia? Any demand for English-speaking Oracle DBAs in Asia? I've heard English-speaking techs are in high-demand over in Asia, but where specifically and doing what specifically I don't know
(possibly technical training conducted in English, or English for
programmers/engineers/techs; or technical writing).

How would a person go about finding these jobs? Any companies hiring around Boston that would send Oracle DBAs on overseas assignments?

Thanks very much.
