Yeah If you knew the fundamentals You can manage any thing, DB2 is cool, I worked as programmer before in Mainframes, Now Iam working as Oracle DBA, Iam much happier to work as Db2 DBA. Mainframes like a elephant, You can ride with stability!! Its wonderful environment. Another way you can switch either way some times Oracle and DB2 to explore more about yourself.
