Hi
RWAST means Resource Waiting for ASynchronous Trap. They are usually temporary but if for some reason you have a run away process they can remain forever. I've seen this happen when a process tries to communicate with another
that doesn't respond and an intercommunications mailbox fills up. It seems to
me there was a way to empty the mailbox by sending the contents to NL: but it's been a number of years since I've worked on VMS and I've forgotten how. You may try SYSMAN. In most cases you have to reboot to clear a RWAST.
