The long can handle two Gig but not much else can. For example, PL/SQL can handle 32k and the last numbers I have from Oracle Forms is 56k.

Oracle says data type Long can contain 2G data. but when I insert it larger than 4k, I got the error : oerr ora 01704:
01704, 00000, "string literal too long"
