Ok anyone seen this error.
here is the scenario:
dev box - firewall - internet - prod db server
on the prod db server, protocol.ora is enabled to screen only legit ip addys.
connect from dev box w/sqlplus and get a 12537 error,
solaris, 8.1.5 on both dev and prod.
PC attempted also, 8.1.5 client.
all get the same error.
