Hi!

I need a suggestion for my problem. I have an Oracle 8i database on Windows NT and a front end application in Developer 2000 for data entry purposes. The system maintains all the information about the orders from clients, the stock position, other related accounts, etc.

I want to design a website which could provide online information to clients about the status of their orders and other necessary information. For this purpose, I need to use the database that I have. The problem is that the Oracle 8i setup on NT is on an intranet and is not connected to the internet all the time. The system can be connected to the internet as and when needed using dial-up connectivity. I want to design an application which would make a copy of the database from the local database on to an oracle database on some web server at frequent intervals after I connect to the internet. What is the best way in which I can tranfer my data from the local database on to the server database? And this is not one time......this will be done very frequently.

Can multimaster replication be a solution and if so how can that be done? Kindly help me.

    Thanking you.

Kumar
