Hi,

That it is because you aren't using a service referencing the dispatcher.

F.e.

On 8i: in init.ora

mts_dispatchers="(protocol=ipc)(dispatchers=1)(service=mtsipc)"

And in the tnsnames.ora

mtsservice= (DESCRIPTION =

    (ADDRESS_LIST =
      (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL =IPC)(KEY=<SID or if you use listener.ora, then the ipc alias>))

    )
    (CONNECT_DATA = (service_name= mtsipc))   )
