We are implementing OPS for our production database. We are aware that only the select statements(query) gets failover in case of a node failure. But I have been told, to achieve 100%TAF from our application side i.e the user w/o reissuing a transaction(update and etc) we need to implement OCI in the appllication so that the failover is transparent to the user.Is this right?

I want to know if implementing OCI means just loading the OCI drivers?(don't think so) but I think there should be something more than just
loading the drivers that should be done on the application. Our application is a java application and makes JDBC connection to the database.

Pls comment

Thanks
