Ana,

What was the daemon doing? You should be able to see from the trace file where the error occurs and the sql that was run. Our problem also came from our monitoring scripts, but we didn't want to stop using them to fix the problem. The core dump occurred on a select from dba_segments. Just doing select count(*) from dba_segments would core dump. That is when we ran catalog and catproc, then compiled invalid objects, to fix this. If it is a user table, you could try re-creating it. If an export fails, you may find you have a data corruption problem.
