Sending e-mail from unix machine

Hi Gurus,

Can I send e-mail from Unix server using oracle PL/SQL.I'm having HP-Unix 10.2 and oracle7.1.6 and PL/SQL 2.1

Does anyone have tried it??????????
Or know how to do it??????????/
