Hello Margaret,

I like to think that Oracle SQL*Plus is a good book<g>, but I never intended it as a book to teach PL/SQL.

You mentioned you were reading the Oracle Manuals. In case you haven't found it already, let me recommend the Oracle Concepts manual. There's lot's of good information in there about Oracle's architecture, and about how Oracle works internally.
