always depends on how the forms were written. if they're migrated from 3.0 to 4.5 and then to 6.0, well, it could be messy.
if they are "well written", my experience were acceptable good. some little details about "references" and "subclassing", but everything ok.

as for me, I would rather go to 6.0.5 instead of any of 6i versions.

BTW, you really need to upgrade your forms? I don't think so..., really. if you have any problem with rowid, it's a known problem that support will solve
you quickly without making you upgrade

Hi All,

One of my co-workers has a forms 4.5 application on Oracle 7.3 running on Sun Solaris.
They recently installed Oracle 8.0.5 on another Sun box. He is needing to move the forms application to
new computer. He says forms 4.5 is unsupported and wants to know what version should he go to
that will be the easiest upgrade from forms 4.5. For ex if developer 6.0 is installed will it convert the
forms 4.5 relatively pain free. Does anyone have any suggestion/experience?
