Our production environment has very similar script which runs every night.
When I do a ps I see many instances of this script still running, one for
each day since the last time I went through and manually killed them. I see
three big differences, we aren't using nohup but I don't think that's our
problem ;-), our script does the rm at the end instead of the beginning, and
there is a sleep after the compress command.... Does anyone have any ideas
on how I can get rid of these lingering processes?
