this also answers manivanna's other question of why my db is taking 50 min to so a shutdown immediate.... its rolling back this transactions. my guess is manivannan aborted the delete and part of it is getting rolled back

the where condition U R giving for deletion may not use any of the three indexes & may lead to a full table scan until the row is found(which may take
a long time - seems to be hanging). Please check Ur indexes.
