Hi Lisa,

I've been working with Oracle all my professional life (11 years). I've been on a site having Oracle, DB2, Informix and Sybase. I've learn DB2 a little bit. Now part of my current job is to be a backup of the Sybase DBA, so I'm learning Sybase.
It's nice to see other RDBMS and compared but besides DB2 I would not leave the Oracle world. Oracle covers a wide variety of applications and opportunities. The pay is good in the Oracle world and I have a job security because Oracle is a leader in its market.

Do not forget that people are changing job more often than our parents did, so make sure that if after 2 years you want to change, you're still in position to change.
