Humm, Should one learn more than one RDBMS? Good question, with today's release schedules it's pretty hard to stay on top of Oracle, never mind anything else. But I am currently in that boat. I've got to stay on top of 20 Oracle instances & we're playing around somewhat seriously with PostGreSQL too. Life is fun! Now WHO's got the Guinness?

Hi Lisa,

I myself support the Sun servers and Oracle Financial databases. It all depends on how much time you're required to dedicate to each of the functions.  I spent 70% of my time on the Oracle
end and the rest on Unix. Your job functions must be devided/defined clearly upfront.

Don't worry. SQL Server and Oracle are the two most popular rdbmses in the market. You'll be more marketable and learning will never stop.

Good luck!
