Kevin,

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'm going to go ahead and reply back to the list on this just in case someone else has some thoughts on the USB thing. You are right, NT doesn't support USB, and, MS never intends to on NT. What I was asking about is if anyone has used any 3rd party USB drivers with NT. There are some out there. Some hardware companies write their own so that their products will have USB support on NT; but, those tend to be specific to their product. There are also a couple of companies that write generic USB drivers to be used on NT. I'm a little leery of using any of them; but, I thought someone might have some insight on them.

I will probably go ahead and do the upgrade this weekend with all the Oracle products already installed. I got mixed responses; but, if I have to re-install various Oracle products, oh well. I'll just make sure this little endeavor doesn't interfere with the NFL playoffs on Sunday.

Once again, thanks for taking the time to reply.

Regards,

Larry G. Elkins

As far as I know, NT doesn't support USB so don't even bother waisting your time with it. Also, I wouldn't recommend trying the upgrade with Oracle installed. We tried it at the office once just for the sake of trying it and it was a bigger pain the then anything else. However, think of it this way, you could try it and if it doesn't work, you have nothing to lose Received on Fri Jan 12 2001 - 19:27:17 CST
