Create synonyms for the tables being accessed. If you are going to have more than one user accessing these tables you will problably want to make them public synonyms.

Hi guys,

I have a user which has for ex.. 100 tables.

i need to create a new user and allow the user to access the 'SELECT' on all the tables of the above user.

What i had done is created a newuser and created a role in the user which has 100 tables and issued

grant select on <100_table_names_here> to Role_1. and
grant role_1 to USER2.

When the user issues a select statement on a table he has to issue the username.table_name to select data.

is there any other way to access the tables without mentioning the username.

Varma.
