RE: Excessive archive log

I read a paper on how to dump and read your redo log information. You can poke through the output to identify the objects that are changing. Unfortunately I don't remember where I got it from. Maybe someone on the list can help. It was titled "Disassembling The Redo Log" by Graham Thorton and dated 9/26/00.

Look in V$SQLAREA for DML statements, the parsing_user_id might tell you where to start looking. Course, a lot of these 3rd party apps all connect as a single 'user', so that might not help.
