Hi,

       Some application may be using this package.When u isuue this command oracle tries to lock the object and give the grant.So it waits and returns saying unable to lock the object or it will grant if the object is released.

Why is it taking a long time when I say "grant execute on sys.dbms_pipe to user1;" any ideas ?
