I dont mind these *stupid* questions as you say. You don't always know what is happening with the person posing the question. Perhaps they were thrown into the job due to someone leaving and do not even know where to start. Maybe the manuals aren't there.... Ok, granted, I'd know enough to go to the Oracle site and download the docs, or look at the FAQ or even buy a book. But you never know. Maybe the poster wouldn't even mind a response that just TELLS them where to look. If you dont want to answer the question, then dont. But I wouldn't want to discourage people from posting to this fabulous list. Especially newbies!
