If you don't have some similar skills in system administration, or managing another db product, you will find a lot of complexity in Oracle, probably very overwhelming unless you are a genius.

Anyway, you will probably find "db management" (dba) documentation from Oracle Corporation on the installation media (CDROM).

In the "old days" a huge shelf of technical documentation (manuals) had to be purchased when Oracle software was purchased (or for major upgrades). Now they put it on CDROM for free. You can buy a printer for less than the old manuals cost, and print out all the electronically formatted docuemntation you need.

You can take training classes.
