What's private life? Seriously, the only way I found out how to have a life is to cross train anyone willing to learn. I also let them get comfortable with Oracle support (very evil of me, I know).

coworkers complained about my lack of showing up to work on time. "Tried" is the key word here. I simply sat him down and told him that people in my position don't have a set number of hours. I told him that my hours are dependant on my work load and when users are off the system. He agreed and just told me to see the purchasing department to get a cell phone. I was upset that I had to get a cell phone, until I learned what FREE long distance meant.

This year will be my real X-mas and new year holiday. Last year I was working long hours for Y2K. Damn, time flies! Normally I work holidays and then take two days (comp time) off to make up for it. Now, thanks to California's new Assembly Bill (AB 60), I get paid for any overtime.
