Many excellent tutorials are available at www.perl.com

You should also acquire Learning Perl, Programming Perl and Programming the Perl DBI.

The Perl CD Library wouldn't hurt either.

Kochan and Wood's book on shell programming is excellent.

All can easily be found at amazon.com
