Symptoms? Well, I'm running in tight little circles, waving my hands in the air, screaming "leave me the hell alone!". Among the endless hordes demanding my complete and undivided attention, one of my MIS people wants to transfer our production data to a test database. His experience with Oracle: he knows it exists and can spell it. Pointing him at the manuals (assuming I had time to raise my arm and point) is, uh, pointless, since the next questions would be "which manual", "which chapter", what's the command called", "how do you use it", etc etc etc etc etc etc.

Anyway, since almost everyone is telling me that an 8.x imp will work fine on a 7.3 exp, (thanks people), I think I'll stop for a few laps and help him set up the imp.

Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas
are any good,
you'll have to ram them down people's throats.
