I would check to ensure that you are not running out of memory. This ofcourse, is assuming that you can't start the 4th instance at all. If this is the case you will probably have to resize your sga's to fit all of them on the one machine.

Hi,

I have 4 8.0.5 instances on NT 4 server. If the server is rebooted 3 of the instances start automatically.
The 4th instance will not. I have recreated the instance/password file but no luck. Does anyone have
any suggestions that may help fix the problem?

Thanks
