The alert log shows an ALTER DATABASE CLOSE NORMAL and then Waiting for smon to disable tx recovery. The smon process has now used about 52 minutes of CPU time.Is there a way for me to determine what is going on? Earlier in the day I had killed a process that seemed to be running out of control and that process never cleaned up but I don't know what the interaction is. Thanks.
