Dennis,

You can change the next extent sizes on any PeopleSlop table from any Oracle tool you want. You can even export & import them to compress the extents without causing a problem. The only reason you'd want to edit the PeopleSlop data dictionary is in the event of an upgrade or other action that would cause Peopletools to re-create the table/index. The best thing in that case would be to go to a Peopletools class. The best thing is just to leave matters as they are & when hell breaks loose blame it on PleopleSlop who are in the wrong in the first place. The reason being that the default sizing for PeopleSlop is 8K. What a bunch of Maroons!!!

PS DBAs,
I have a real 'dummy-level' question for you: I just took over a new PS database and I noticed some tables already have 51 extents after only a few days. I am trying to increase the next extent size. While I know how to do this in Oracle, I am not sure if this should be done via PeopleTools or via svrmgrl. If I have to use PeopleTools, where do I do that from? What kind of operations can be done via svrmgrl and what can only be done via People Tools?
