        Where did you find that statement in the Oracle documentation? Now I am

        curious to know what they meant by "maintenance". It actually came from an Oracle CBT. I think when they refer to = maintenance
in this context it is
dropping,splitting,adding,etc partitions. I suppose your second = paragraph
is the answer but not=20
certain.
