I remember that ! When I was in school, they had a service - they would hire someone from each class to take notes and type them up. Then you could buy them. It was very convenient for when you had to miss a class. Of course, then it becomes like Cliff Notes - people start to take advantage of it!

FYI - some colleges are now trying to make it illegal to sell your class notes. The ones that you took yourself, not ones supplied by the prof. Same with term papers and so forth. So it *may* become illegal to sell certain types of books, but I don't think that it is now.
