The only backup option for a DB in NONArchiveLog mode is a cold backup, which means no RMAN.

Hi!

I want to take a full backup of a db (running in NOARCHIVELOG mode) with RMAN without shutting the database down. Is this doable? What about restore?

This is 8.1.6 on Win2k.

Thanks,
Helmut
