RE: Slightly Off Topic : Book recommendation ... (Oracle DBA 101)

Hi all,

I just subscribed and would like to introduce myself and this seems to be an appropriate kickoff topic.

I teach the Oracle DBA classes for IUPUI and Perpetual Technologies, Inc. in Indianapolis. We give the students a complimentary Oracle Press book with each or our classes i.e. Oracle8 Backup and Recovery guide for our Advanced class. I would like to commend Rachel for her excellent DBA 101 book which we recently started handing out to the students of our Intro to Oracle DBA class. There have been several compliments on the book from students thus far.

        Thanx for the extra info. It sounds just like the book I need at the moment. Especially because I seem to understand exactly what that panicky feeling you write about feels like :-)

        Also, the recommendation of one of the author's herself will convince my boss to accept the bill ...
