### this has never been done or tested, it's just what *I* would try, so be careful ... ###

  1. backup your 734 DB
  2. ensure you can downgrade from Solaris 2.7 to 2.6 ( backup your OS )
  3. prepare the migration of your 734 DB : migprep + mig steps ( see migration guide + Metalink note 76460.1) now your DB should be down.
  4. upgrade from Solaris 2.6 to 2.7
  5. install Oracle816
  6. set your env to Oracle8, and complete the migration
  7. send us feedback or champagne if it works .... ;-)
