RE: RE: 7.3.4 -> 8.1.6: Upgrade/Migrate? Or Install/Import

We migrate all our 734 databases to 816 on solaris without any problem using the following procedure :

install oracle816
migrate using migprep & mig tools ( not the migration assistant ) : the note on Metalink describes the process very well restart in Oracle8 and voila ...
