Moving data from one DB to another

We have an 8.0.6 database on NT and an 8.0.5 database on HPUX and both are the backends for Siebel. The one on NT is a "vanilla" version. The other database uses some of the standard fields for data other than what the field names is labeled (long story).  We are going to need to move some of the data from the NT database to the HPUX database. Is there an easy way to compare the schemas in the two different databases? What would be the best way to move the data? Does the fact that one is on NT and one is on HPUX pose any problems? What about the different different versions causing problems?
