There is a tool out there that can aid data migration between a whole load of database vendors. The tool is actually badged as an archiving tool, but has a number of "Smart" modules that help with different areas of an archiving process. One of these being a load function that can actually aid migration between Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL, DB2 etc..

The tool is called Checkmate, the vendor is Bit by Bit www.bitbybit.co.uk

Dunno about a tool for converting programs though. Would be interested to find one if anybody knows of any?
