I have done this in prior jobs. Only I wouldn't wait, I would call right = back and open a new TAR. A better solution though if you are having = trouble with the assigned analyst is to ask for their duty manager and = "escalate" the TAR. This will generally get you a more experienced = analyst and you will have gone on the record stating that the 1st analyst = needs additional training.

I'm not a bright network guru, but here is a thought:

A tech support person can't always be perfect, so you might have to cut your losses when dealing with a specific problem.

If you have the luxury of time, consider asking them (Oracle tech support) to close the TAR. Lie if you have to (actually they are probably going to be quite happy to close a TAR regardless of your reasons, and unlikely to object!). Then a couple of days later call the same issue in again, and hope you get someone else that is in a better position to deal with the issue.
