RE: v$archived_log: Only 8i?

V$ARCHIVED_LOG is essentially the same as v$log_history in V7. They contain pretty much the same information. My guess is that the mighty Oracle Corp. thought that V$LOG_HISTORY was too easy to use and to well known so they decided to mess it up a bit.

There are about 20-30 v$ views and probably about the same number of dba_ views that are discussed in the 8i courses. Those are all you need to know (for the exams).
