ora-01005

Hey list lubbers,

We are getting an ora-01005 (Null Password) when trying to connect to a 7.3.4 instance on HP/UX 11. We believe that a character variable may not have been set, resulting in a two byte character set transmission of the log on user and password string.

There is apparently something about this on MetaLink, but I don't have access :( Does anybody have any insight?
