I remember from previous list postings something about undocumented parameters _sql_run_faster=true or more advanced _sql_run_faster_<n>=true. Did not try them myself.

In a web related application executing a query it takes lots of time.Performance is very poor it seems.
So please suggest me to do the performance good what are the points to be done or rectified to improve the application.
The question is : How to improve the performance of a web based application and as well as database .
tell me the points to be done in application side and database side.
