Had you think about adding a thirth group??... what about if one group =
fails
somehow...
If you have to make a large transaction someday, the database would =
stop
because would not complete checkpoints...
Anyway, you have to save archived logs for recovery (be sure that you =
make a
physical backup) to complete the database SINCE your last backup...
Maybe you would have to perform backups everyday... and, if you have =
only
two groups, take a look with begin/end backup of tablespaces...

Hi all,
My database has 2 redo log groups and each group has 3 members. Each members size is 1 meg each.=20
The problem is that archive logs are generated at a fast rate:

Isnt it good practice to keep 3 days worth of archive logs on disk in case needed? If so, what is the best solutions for this high rate=20 logs being generated so often?
