Hi Gurus,

I received a dmp file containing the table DBA_SOURCE. The table DBA_SOURCE contains all the packages/functions/procedures belonging to Oracle account USERACCT. To import the packages/functions/procedures in the dmp file, I was told by another DBA to

1)	create the account USERACCT in the new machine
2)	import the table DBA_SOURCE in the dmp file into the account
USERACCT
3)	extract the data in USERACCT.DBA_SOURCE table and append it to
SYS.DBA_SOURCE table.

Is this the right way ?

Is it possible to export solely the packages/functions/procedures in a certain oracle account into a dmp file ? If yes, what's the command ?

        Exp userid=system file=procfn.dmp grants=y owner=USERACCT ..... ???????????? ............

TIA. Received on Mon Oct 23 2000 - 20:19:18 CDT
