Operating System Patches & Installation of Oracle 8i

Hi list

We are in the process of Installing Oralcle 8i on Sun solaris 5.7.. The Installation guide says that OS Kernel patch no should be a minimum of
#105181-15. Can we proceed with the installation if there are patches like
#106XXX, #107XXX etc., even if #105XXX are not present.

Expecting some replies fast....
