Yes, and the problem was eliminated by implementing DCD within sqlnet.ora:

SQLNET.EXPIRE_TIME=30 NOTE: If $TNS_ADMIN is other than $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin (as in our case), a softlink will be needed under $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin for $TNS_ADMIN/sqlnet.ora.
