RE: DATE 5th OCT, 1582 not coming

In 1582, the (Gregorian?) calendar was adjusted. 11 days were removed. The day after October 4, 1582 was declared October 15, 1582. There was not October 5, 1582.

There're entire books written about the history of the calendar and calendars, of which I know very little.
