ODBC and Shared Pool problem

Hello Lists,

I am using Oracle ODBC Driver 8.01.56 to use an Oracle8i 8.1.5 database for VC++ applications. Though I am able to see the retrived data at VC++ application initially, after approximately one hour we are not able to see any data but blanks. If I issue ' Alter database flush shared_pool' command at the database, I am able to see data again. Does any body have a hint on this? I am able to understand that ODBC understands the change in database after the db's shared pool is flushed and so it retrives the data. But, should I have to do this whenever I don't see the data?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

TIA,
Muru
