*Description:
Major Ft. Lauderdale, Florida company needs an Oracle DBA for their I.T.=  team
to provide database support for Oracle systems . This is a full time staff position.
Candidates local to the South Florida area are strongly preferred.

• Responsibilities: Responsible for providing hands-on technical support for the operation and=
  =20
  administration of the Oracle Applications and data base environment systems=
  =20
  and related UNIX systems. Responsible for support of existing environments,=
  =20
  improving/tuning current configurations and implementing new applications=
  =20
  and systems. Provide day-to-day support of existing systems. Improve=20 configurations and fine tune the environments. Set up standard data base=20 administration processes and tools (re-orgs, dump & loads, table=20 restructuring, etc.) Participate in Disaster Recovery Planning and Testing.=
  =20
  Provide instruction to existing operations and support personnel on systems.= =20 Conduct cross-training classes. Contribute to the development of long term=
  =20
  strategies for technical architecture. Keep current with technical abilities=
  =20
  and evaluate technical developments in view of business plans and current=20 processes.

*Requirements:
* BS in Computer Science or related degree.
* 7+ yrs experience in Oracle administration.
* Sound understanding of the HP-UX UNIX environment and=20

  ability to perform tasks as they relate to UNIX/Oracle integration.=20 * U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
