RE: Oracle 8 export - Oracle 7

You will have to apply a patch ( I don't know the patch number) if you you are using java in the database. Oracle 8iR2 has a bug, that it can not export views to an Oracle 7 database if you have the java VM installed in your database. The patch is already out for solaris, for NT i don't know the status of the bugfix.

run $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catexp7.sql in your 8i database.
