Hi,
On Sequent/IBM NUMA, the use_indirect_data_buffers is the init parameter that enables the addressing a shared memory segment that is greater than the 4G limit for a 32 bit OS. The relocation of the SGA needs to be done if you cannot accomadate the buffers in the available address locations.
